Justin Sorensen was drafted by the BC Lions in the first round of the 2008 CFL Draft and spent two years with the team before joining the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. After two seasons with the Blue Bombers, he signed as a free agent with the Eskimos on February 11, 2014. He earned his first Grey Cup championship as a member of the 103rd Grey Cup champion Eskimos, starting at centre in both the West Final and Grey Cup.
Matt is half of the CISN Country Morning Show alongside Jack Sweeney. Matt is a local, raised in nearby Sherwood Park. Fun Fact: Matt has had more jobs than anyone on earth. Go ahead, ask him. We’ve lost count on how many. Although you might not be able to tell by looking at him now, but he was also quite an athlete in his time, playing hockey, volleyball, basketball & track.. You’ll find him spending his free time eating his way across Edmonton, spending time with his family, video gaming, and yelling at the TV during Oiler games.

Calvin McCarty played as a tailback until 2014, when he became the starting fullback for the Edmonton Eskimos. McCarty is known for being able to fill many roles at his position, with TSN sportscaster Chris Schultz noting in 2010 that he is a “multi-purpose running back who catches the ball extremely well, blocks well and runs well” [1] He is a champion of the 103rd Grey Cup.

The event will take place on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at The Quarry, 945-167 Ave, Edmonton, AB.
Breakfast, an 18-hole round of golf, a powered cart, dinner, and a ton of fun.
Golf clubs are available for rent through the clubhouse at additional costs.
Auction items will be taken home the day of the golf tournament, so please be prepared to take your purchases with you or make other arrangements.

Silent Auction Donation:
Each team or individual is requested to contribute to the silent auction. All funds will go to the University Hospital Foundation, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis through research, care, and advocacy. Silent auction items can include electronics (TV, iPad, Kindle, drone, etc.) gift certificates (restaurants, travel, hotel stays), gift baskets (wine, cheese, movie night), or even sports items (golf clubs, signed memorabilia, game tickets). Any contribution would go a long way toward making this event a success. Those who contribute will be recognized throughout the event.
